The SGS Group has pooled its Functional Safety expertise in a “Functional Safety” Competence Center based in Munich that was launched on 1 July 2010. The Functional Safety Competence Center co-ordinates the worldwide activities carried out by respective local experts internationally.
At the moment, our existing resources are being significantly reinforced by progressively incorporating additional Functional Safety experts into our staff.
The Competence Center is headed by Martin Schmidt, who was in charge of Electronic Safety at TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH from 2000 to June 2010.
SGS is an accredited provider of Functional Safety services and draws on a wide range of institutional know-how provided by expert staff in the fields of Automotive, Automation, Software, Semiconductors and the Process Industry.
