The EN IEC 62368-1 standard defines safety requirements for audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment for rated voltages up to 600 V. Thus, the number of devices that fall within the scope of this product safety standard is very high. From data acquisition devices, laptops & computers, scanners, plotters, and complex telecommunication systems to 3D printers and multimedia equipment, many products can be tested according to EN IEC 62368-1.

Our product safety laboratory supports you with the following tests, among others: 

  • Product and equipment safety tests according to EN IEC 62368 series of standards for audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment, taking into account national deviations and specific requirements. An excerpt from our test spectrum can be found here 
  • Customer-specific requirements
    • NEBS test according to GR-1089-CORE for North American telecommunications providers (Telcordia)
    • Deutsche Telekom (1TR9) or EN 300 386 
  • Tests and design analyses during the development phase of your products

  • Tests for outdoor equipment EN / IEC 60950-22/ EN IEC 62368-1:2020 Annex Y
    • Testing of IP protection classes according to EN 60529
    • Testing of gaskets for resistance to compression and tensile strength
    • Corrosion testing (Kesternich test) of metal housings

  • Burning and flammability tests, glow wire tests, creepage current resistance, and ball pressure tests for your plastic materials
