Packaging Test / Transportation Test

Packaging Test / Transportation Test is performed to simulate possible stresses.

Nearly all equipment must be shipped to its installation site. A packaging test or a transportation test is performed to simulate possible stresses and strains on the equipment during transport. The SGS Center for Quality Engineering offers a wide range of testing facilities as an accredited test laboratory covering packaging tests according to international standards, such as ASTM, IEC, ISO, DIN, ETSI … etc. The severity level of packaging tests / transport tests is usually determined by the intended type of transportation (car, train, airplane, ship …)

  • Vibration test
  • Shock test
  • Free fall, drop test
  • Temperature test (e.g. cold, heat)
  • Environmental test (e.g. damp heat)
  • Rain simulation

Our experts not only conduct packaging tests, but can also guide you through consulting services with extensive know-how, to develop and find the correct packaging for your device, and to define the relevant tests for the selected packaging
