their short operation range and thus low capability of causing interference to other
wireless/radio equipment. SRDs are for example:
- Model controls like Remote Controllable (RC) toys
- Alarm- and emergency systems
- Wireless automation devices based on ZigBee ® , WirlessHART ® and any proprietary
- technology
- Keyless entry systems
- Modules for wireless (wideband) data transmission like WLAN (WiFi ® ) or Bluetooth ®
- Telecommand devices
- Radio Frequency IDentification devices (RFID)
You need regulatory compliance testing for your SRD products according to the European
R&TTE Directive (1999/5/EC) or the US regulatory requirements of the FCC to allow market
entry in the EU or the USA?
The Center for Quality Engineering (CQE) of the SGS Germany GmbH is testing a wide
range of SRD products according to the market access regulatory requirements of many
countries, with specific focus on Europe and the USA.
Our SRD Testing Services:
- Accredited Testing of your SRD product
- Europe (generic)
9kHz-25MHz (ETSI EN 300 330)
25MHz-1GHz (ETSI EN 300 220)
1GHz-40GHz (ETSI EN 300 440) - Europe (application specific)
Wideband Data (ETSI EN 300 328)
RFID (ETSI EN 302 208)
weitere auf Anfrage - USA
FCC 47 CFR Part 15
- Europe (generic)
- Pre-Compliance Testing of your SRD product:
Testing of certain transmitter parameters in an early stage of development prevents you
from a high risk of failing the compliance test at the end of the development phase and
thus helps to save money and to shorten the time to market.
Some of the measurements that may be required are: RF power output, occupied
bandwidth, adjacent channel power, conducted spurious emissions and frequency
stability over temperature. - Witnessed Manufacturers’ Testing (WMT):
You are looking for testing options which allow a shorter time to market? To support
these needs SGS CQE provides accredited testing at the manufacturers’ premises. This
approach allows manufacturers to carry out their own SRD testing in their own test
laboratories using their own test equipment.
SGS CQE supervises this activity very closely and provides necessary support and
maintenance. The capability and competence of the test laboratory and the used test
equipment is verified in advance of testing and by regular audits in accordance with
DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
